The Wifey and I dropped by our favorite UCC Park Café branch inside a Quezon City mall for dinner and coffee. But this time, something was off. All the diners were seated at the tables outside the main interior dining area.
As we approached, I realized it was noticeably warm. A quick glance revealed the air conditioners were off.
I pointed toward the units and asked the male staff at the entrance, “Hey, why are the ACs turned off?”
He replied, “We’re fumigating tonight, so we had to shut them down.”
Fumigating? While customers are seated just outside? Eating?
I stared at him, waiting for some follow-up explanation. He just grinned—ear to ear—but said nothing.
So instead of pressing further, we turned around and left.
What was that about? 😆
